The owners, Pete and Joni, provide personal attention to help you select the perfect building for your needs. Joni

Joni is a native Texan who has an Education degree from the University of Texas and a masters in Organizational Communication from the University of Northern Colorado. Joni was in the Air Force as retired as a Colonel at Warner Robins. She and Pete bought an old farmhouse on Hwy 22 West in Milledgeville on 3 acres which she and Pete started to fix up. Joni had been buying Derksen portable buildings since 2000, and when she bought her third portable building, she thought it would fun to combine her love for the Derksen buildings with her love for meeting and helping people; thus Village Barns was founded. After she bought and loved her Overholt Enterprises Greenhouse, she expanded Village Barns to carry the Overholt portable buildings. Village Barns grew beyond any expectation and Joni feels truly blessed to have a business that helps meets peoples outdoor needs.

Pete

Pete is a native from Washington DC where he graduated from Georgetown University. He later moved to Missouri where he was a Sheriff for Washington County. After he retired from law enforcement, he developed Ozark Sign Company and later traveled to motorcycle rallies to do pin striping and windshield etching. He sold his company and settled in Georgia. He missed interacting with people, so when he and Joni started Village Barns, it was a natural fit for him. As well as helping people pick their ideal building, he often gives tours of the old farm place and tells of its fascinating history. He truly enjoys selling the portable buildings and helping people with their outdoor needs.
